A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

Facebook has no phone line. One form handles both memorial accounts and removal, and Facebook will not give out login details. To remove the account you must be close family or the executor, and a photo of the death certificate is the fastest proof.
