Before you get in touch

A lasting power of attorney ends when the person who made it passes away. The executor then deals with their affairs. If you were an attorney, tell the Office of the Public Guardian and post them the original LPA and all certified copies. They will cancel and destroy it, unless you ask for it back and give a return address.
