Before you get in touch

If you got Carer's Allowance and the person you cared for has passed away, DWP needs to know. The simplest way is Tell Us Once when the death is registered. The online change form can't be used. For questions about your payments, call the Carer's Allowance Unit. In Scotland, Carer Support Payment is run by Social Security Scotland.
