A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

NewDay runs Aqua, Marbles, Fluid, the Argos Card and the John Lewis Partnership Card. There is no separate bereavement line, so call customer services and say the cardholder has passed away. Each card also has its own number on the back and on statements. Have the card or account number, and the person's name and address, ready.

Checked on 27 September 2026 against NewDay's own page. Numbers do change now and then, so if one doesn't work, their page is the best place to look.

Other investments, credit and credit files

Most of the time this takes goes on working out what the person had and who to call. When you are ready, Inherit Vault is where you can write that down for your own family, kept private until it is needed.
