Opening hours
Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm; Saturdays, 8am to 2pm; closed public holidays
Before you get in touch
Tell Us Once can tell DVLA for you. If you cannot use it, write to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AB, with the driving licence if you have it. No death certificate is needed. You still need to tell DVLA separately if you keep or sell their vehicle.
Checked on 27 September 2026 against DVLA's own page. Numbers do change now and then, so if one doesn't work, their page is the best place to look.
Other government and household
- Bereavement Service Northern Ireland
- Blue Badge
- Carer's Allowance
- Child Benefit HMRC
- Companies House when a director passes away
- Council or housing association tenancy Shelter England
Most of the time this takes goes on working out what the person had and who to call. When you are ready, Inherit Vault is where you can write that down for your own family, kept private until it is needed.
If a number doesn't work, please let us know and we'll put it right the same day.
