A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

Coinbase handles this through an online Executor Services form. You'll need to sign in to your own Coinbase account first, or make a free one. Have the death certificate, probate or letters of administration, and photo ID ready to upload. Once your request is verified, their team will help with your case.

Checked on 27 September 2026 against Coinbase's own page. Numbers do change now and then, so if one doesn't work, their page is the best place to look.
