A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

Clearpay does not have a bereavement line, so call their support team and say the account holder has passed away. Have the person's name and the email or phone number they used for Clearpay. They will tell you what they need, which may include a copy of the death certificate. Say if any payments are still due to come out.

Checked on 27 September 2026 against Clearpay's own page. Numbers do change now and then, so if one doesn't work, their page is the best place to look.
