A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

You can tell Bupa's bereavement team by phone, online form or post. Have the person's full name, date of birth, date of death and Bupa membership number if you have it. You can send the form before you have the death certificate. Bupa will be in touch within 10 working days, cancel payments and refund anything owed.
