A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

You can call Creation's credit card team to tell them what has happened. They'll let you know what they need from you, which is usually a copy of the death certificate. Any balance on the card becomes part of the estate, so it's worth calling before charges build up.
