Before you get in touch

You can contact Thirteen to let them know and talk through what you'd like to do with the tenancy. Rent keeps being charged until the keys are handed back. If the person was getting Housing Benefit, this stops the Sunday after they passed away. Family members who aren't joint tenants aren't responsible for paying any rent owed.
