Before you get in touch

SPPA runs NHS, teachers', police and firefighters' pensions in Scotland. You can phone or email their Bereavements Team, or use Tell Us Once. Have the person's name, date of birth and National Insurance or pension number ready. They'll ask for a copy of the full death certificate. Sorting out payments usually takes around eight weeks.
