A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

A free service set up by UK banks and building societies. It tells many of them at once.

Before you get in touch

To stop a regular gift to Oxfam after a death, call or email their Supporter Care team. Have the person's name and address ready. A Direct Debit can also be cancelled through the bank. A Standing Order can only be stopped by the bank, so tell the bank as well.

Other charities and regular giving
