Most legacy vaults are a folder with a password on it. Inherit Vault encrypts everything on your own device before it reaches us: we never hold a readable copy and we could not open your vault if we were ordered to. You stay in control while you are alive with regular check-ins, and when the time genuinely comes, your executor proves it with a death certificate, waits out a mandatory 14 day challenge window, and unlocks the vault with the Recovery Certificate you left alongside your will. Beneficiaries you name are told the vault has been released, so nobody is left out of the picture.
