A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

The letter

Before you get in touch

You can tell Wesleyan by phone or with their short online form. It helps to have the person's name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number, along with their policy numbers and the death certificate. They'll also want next of kin details, including bank details, to arrange things from there.
