A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

A free service set up by UK banks and building societies. It tells many of them at once.

Free. Stops junk mail and marketing post in their name.

Before you get in touch

You can tell Sightsavers by phone or email, and their supporter care team will help. It helps to have the supporter's name and address ready. There's no separate bereavement team, so their general line handles this too.
