A free GOV.UK service. It tells most government departments at once, including HMRC, DWP, DVLA, the Passport Office and the council. Use the reference number the registrar gives you.

Before you get in touch

Report the death at a Relationship Centre or by phone. You can also post their Bereavement Form to Scottish Building Society, SBS House, 193 Dalry Road, Edinburgh EH11 2EF.

Other building societies and savings
