Nationwide asks you to use the Death Notification Service. It publishes no bereavement phone number, and has a separate page for solicitors.

Checked on 26 September 2026 against Nationwide's own page. Numbers do change now and then, so if one doesn't work, their page is the best place to look.

Other building societies and savings
